This legendary manicured 18-hole course stretches 6,853 yards from the gold tees and is a test of any golfer’s skills at a par 72 with Slope Rating of 132 and a Course Rating of 72.9.
Selected in the January issue of Florida Golf Central Magazine as Number 1 in the list of Top Ten Golf Courses in Central Florida for 2002, this course is destined to continue to be recognized as one of Florida’s finest courses. In a recent issue of Lihn’s Orlando Golf Guide, Legends was described as “Featuring vertiginous elevations, cinemascopic horizons and breathtaking views, this handsome addition will definitely elevate your spirits”.
The first tee is met by a view that stretches 8 miles along Lake Louisa that is truly legendary. This is a view that most courses, if any, share. This 300-foot drop in elevation on this Par 4 although looks easy it can be challenging to most. It is not necessary to hit a driver off the tee, but you can give it all you want to get closer for a much easier second shot approach.
As you approach hole #4 you will quickly notice that our Par 3’s are not only challenging but offer unique views and legendary landscaping. Hole #4 affords you a shot across a ravine to an uphill green protected by trees and bunkers. Lihn’s Orlando Golf Guide counsels you on this hole, “So ignore the dense woods to your left and the groves of trees to your right overhanging your shot path and rip your tee shot through that woodland chute. Don’t be timid…”.
After making your way through the first 5, hopefully at even par, you come to our hardest hole on the course, #6. This hole will make you wonder why you play golf. From a tee shot that barely reaches the fairway to a straight uphill second shot to an almost blind green, this hole really packs a punch. We recommend playing one tee box forward on this hole.
Stop and regain your thoughts about the first 8 holes at our Koi Pond before you reach the tee box on Hole 9. We have been told that small pieces of crackers to our Koi gives you a LEGENDARY back nine like you have never had before. We cannot confirm or deny this.
After stopping for a quick bite to eat at All Stars Grill you come to Hole 10. This hole is one of our shorter holes and a driver should be used cautiously as there is a hidden lake on the left near the green. Try and fly one into the waste bunker on the right for a good chance of reaching the green.
Be sure and take a rest again before reaching a tough stretch of holes from #12-#14 while looking at the lake on the left of #11 Tee Box. We have been known to have between 25-70 turtles that may or may not follow your golf cart. Let’s go with maybe they will.
Hole #13 is the 3rd in the final 4 Par 3’s and it is the most challenging. This long par three is simply that, challenging. From tee to green this Par 3 can take a legendary round (even par 72) to a legendary drink (to a 78) at the 19th hole quickly. Be sure to recognize the famed water tower that is a hallmark to Hwy 27 both north and south (and yes, you do actually go under the water tower in your cart).
As you make your way across Legendary Blvd. you notice our beautiful fountains before reaching our signature Hole #15. This hole, although beautiful, doesn’t come without its risks and challenges.
Now that you have made it through all 18 holes please come inside and tell us about your Legendary round and have some entertainment in our All Stars Grill. You are all Legendary here.
